The goal of this GDG meeting will be to provide evidence-based recommendations to countries in their efforts to control morbidity from schistosomiasis and eventually interrupt transmission.

The World Health Organization (WHO) NTD department have released an update on the global status of schistosomiasis treatments for 2017. The news is very encouraging!
The WHO launched the new step-by-step guide and practical toolkit to implement Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions for the sustainable control and elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
The WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) Working Group on Monitoring Drug Efficacy will be meeting end of February 2019.
