New recommendations for POC-CCA thresholds for S.mansoni mapping, control and surveillance programmes.

31 Dec 2018

An operational research study using model simulations and data from a wide range of S.mansoni endemic settings describes the relationship between Kato-katz and point-of-care circulating cathodic antigen diagnostic methods. The findings translates current WHO intervention guidelines into POC CCA prevalences enabling the use of POC-CCA in S. mansoni control and elimination programmes.

The study has been published as an uncorrected proof in PLOS NTDs.
