Kenya's Breaking Transmission Strategy

The Kenyan Ministry of Health launched the Breaking Transmission Strategy for 4 NTDs (soil-transmitted helminths, schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis and trachoma) on the 14th of February. Working together with the WHO, the Childrens Investment Fund Foundation, the Kenyan Red Cross and the African Institute for Health and Development, the strategy aims to levarage the integration of expanded interventions against these 4 NTDs. The planned interventions are Preventative Chemotherapy through Mass Drug Administration (MDA), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Behaviour Change Communication.
