Travel Awards
The ICOPA 2026 Congress provides abstract presenters with an opportunity to apply for a Travel Award via the abstract submission system.
The Travel Award application is a part of the abstract submission process. You cannot apply for the Award without submitting an abstract.

- Application period: August 2025 – 2 February 2026
- Notification period: by 30 March 2026*

General Information
Only applications from presenting authors of abstracts accepted into the ICOPA 2026 scientific program will be considered for the Award. Applications will be scored based on various factors such as the abstract quality, career stage and motivation for attendance, country of origin, etc. Priority will be given to applicants who are graduate students from LMIC (as of 2025) according to the World Bank classification.
*Please note that despite the organizers’ efforts, some applications may be rejected due to insufficient funds.
A Travel Award will be awarded to selected ICOPA 2026 applicants who fulfill the following criteria:
- Submitted abstract accepted into the ICOPA 2026 scientific program
- Applicants who are graduate students
The Travel Award consists of:
- Waived registration
- Might also be eligible for partial accommodation support at a later stage (2 nights in a single room at a specified hotel)
