Webinar | Neglected Tropical Diseases: The next 10 years towards elimination
Since 2020, SDGs Promise Japan (SPJ) have been hosting an online seminar series on "Global Health in the Age of Covid-19: Infectious Diseases and Human Security".
For the 10th session, they will welcome Director Thoko Elphick-Pooley of Uniting to Combat NTDs and Dr. Aya Yajima, Technical Officer for Neglected Tropical Diseases at the World Health Organization who are at the forefront of the fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). This event will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation in Japanese and English.
It is said that more than one billion people are currently infected with NTDs, mainly in developing countries - but what is the current status of these diseases? What are the targets towards elimination for 2030? This is a valuable opportunity to learn from two experts at the forefront of NTDs elimination activities and we hope to see many at the virtual event.
