XX. International Symposium on Neglected Diseases | XX Simposio Internacional sobre Enfermedades Desatendidas
Mundo Sano is pleased to invite you to the XX. International Symposium on Neglected Diseases, a space for reflection and analysis of the real situation of these diseases, which affect more than 1.5 billion people in the world.
This twentieth edition will be held on November 2, 3 and 4 2021, online. The programme will attempt to unite the academic and professional perspectives and their link to the current situation, with topics related to the “Road Map for NTDs 2021–2030”, “Access to Health” and “Cooperation and equity”, all addressed within the frame of COVID-19.
This year, Mundo Sano would like to highlight the participation of internationally recognized experts, such as doctors Mwele Ntuli Malecela, Director of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO); Pedro Alonso, Director of the Global Malaria Programme of the World Health Organization (WHO), Julie Jacobson, President of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH); Mirta Roses, Director Emeritus of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), Michael Reich, Research Professor of International Health Policy at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; David Addiss, Director of The Task Force’s Focus Area for Compassion and Ethics; and Martín Rivero, Coordinator of the Area of Social Cohesion and South-South Cooperation at SEGIB (Ibero-American General Secretariat).

Te invitamos al “XX Simposio Internacional sobre Enfermedades Desatendidas”. Un espacio de reflexión y análisis sobre la realidad de estas enfermedades que afectan a más de 1.500 millones de personas. La vigésima edición se desarrollará los días 2, 3 y 4 de noviembre de 2021 y será virtual.
En esta oportunidad, la programación tratará de aunar la visión académica y profesional y su vinculación con la actualidad, ya que este año se abordarán temáticas relacionadas a la “Hoja de Ruta para las EIDs 2021-2030”; el “Acceso a la Salud” y la “Cooperación y Equidad”, en el marco del Covid-19.
Este año, destacamos la participación de reconocidos expertos internacionales, como los doctores Mwele Ntuli Malecela, Directora del Departamento de Control de Enfermedades Desatendidas (OMS); Pedro Alonso, Director del Programa Mundial de Malaria (OMS), Julie Jacobson, Presidente, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH); Mirta Roses, Directora Emérita de la OPS/OMS, Michael Reich, Profesor Emérito, International Health Policy, Harvard T.H.
