Program Manager of the Praziquantel Donation Program

Willemijn Zaadnoordijk is responsible for the management of the Praziquantel Donation Program and Health education/Water Sanitation and Hygiene partnerships. She oversees the overall implementation and impact of the schistosomiasis elimination program and Health education/WASH projects and works in close collaboration with its partners. Willemijn has 20 years of professional experience, and has held various positions in the public and private sector. Prior to joining Merck, she worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Telecommunication Union, managing different governmental working groups, training and information programs. Furthermore, she brings her expertise in program and stakeholder management, partnership building, and public affairs. She currently Chairs the Global Schistosomiasis Behaviour Change Health Education Working Group. Willemijn holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Schiller and Tufts University and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from the College of Europe, Bruges.
