GSA Ambassador Programme

In the global effort to control and eliminate schistosomiasis there is an increasing need for countries to unite and share expertise in order to meet the goals and targets set by the new WHO NTD Roadmap 2021-2030 against schistosomiasis. A multidisciplinary and multisectoral approach requires coordination and good communication to maximise benefits. In this context, the GSA initiated a GSA Ambassador Programme and is recruiting a body of experienced people and key opinion leaders to become GSA Ambassadors for their country.

Ambassadors are GSA's point of contact and advise on progress being made and challenges being faced in-country with regard to the control and elimination of schistosomiasis. They will contribute to discussions to determine actions required by the schistosomiasis community and will feedback on their experience and concerns to the community via the GSA and fellow Ambassadors.
