Anouk Gouvras

Communication and Programme Manager of the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance

Anouk is the programme manager for the GSA, driving and monitoring the alliances activities, using a multi-stakeholder engagement and coordination approach to facilitate & progress the GSA's working groups as well as preparing reports and developing concept proposals. Anouk's background is in schistosomiasis biomedical research. She got her Ph.D on schistosomiasis research from Imperial College, London and went on to do post-doctoral research at the Natural History Museum, researching schistosomiasis in a sub-Saharan African setting, leading fieldwork teams, producing reports, project managing and analysing data. She is using this experience in her current role developing a multi-stakeholder platform to enhance and progress schistosomiasis control and elimination as a public health problem.
